Omdat ik wat tijd had de afgelopen dagen heb ik deze site (en de server ervan) eindelijk eens van wat lang liggende issues verlost. Zo is het bovenstuk van de frontpage nu een sub-weblog, dat wil zeggen dat alle foto's en video's die ik daar plaats óók na te zoeken zijn op datum etc. Ze kunnen als lijst opgevraagd worden. Naast een heleboel kleinigheden, zoals dit coole truukje, ook nog het boxje met "Hottest links" in de linkerkolom, die links updaten nu realtime met wat er het meest opgevraagd wordt door bezoekers. Interessant wel.. En nu ga ik varen over de Amsterdamse grachten met een geheime collega!
Tomato saves your skin!
Researchers at the Universities of Newcastle and Manchester just revealed that consuming tomato cures sunburn, equal to a sun protection factor (SPF) of 1.3! My favorite co-worker at the University of Amsterdam, where I have a cool job these days, is allergic to tomato. That's a pity, because tomato and cheese must be the best food-combination ever. On that same subject; CNN is speaking of a food crisis already. (Is it just me or does their videoplayer refuse to function in Firefox 2.*?) On a sidenote, Daniel Quinn was pretty early declaring the up-and-coming food problem with his message in 1998. The whole thing is of course closely related to this
