I was brought up with Lindgren stuff, but the movies with (Inger playing) Pippi have really changed me as I was growing up in this strange world. We idolized her, she was our hero. And in a way, she still is. Through Pippi we learned about solitude, power, the law and fighting for your rights as an individual, but most of all Pippi tought us to be independent, to dare to be different, to dream and to not take life seriously.
